Stuart Cox – Clubhouse Operations Manager – PGA of Canada
Stuart has grown up at the Truro Golf Club where he was surrounded by the game at an early age and actively took part in “Little Swingers” and Junior Clinics under then Head Professional, Rick Morley.
Stuart has extensive experience in competitive golf at all levels of play including; junior, amateur, collegiate, and professionally. With several invitational titles in 2006, Stuart capped off the successful junior career landing a position on the 2006 Nova Scotia Junior Team. Also in 2006, Stuart carded a minus 4 (68,70) winning the Truro Junior Club Championship with a record score and a 16 stroke victory.
In the fall of 2006, Stuart attended Northwood University in West Palm Beach, FL on Academic and Athletic scholarships. After a year of university, Stuart returned home for the summer to continue working and playing golf in Truro. That summer he won the 2007 Men’s Club Championship – a feat which his father has achieved a record holding 8 times.
In 2010 Stuart graduated from NU with a BBA in Accounting and four years of valuable golf and life experience. After successfully completing the PGA of Canada Player Ability Test tying as the low qualifier, Stuart became the newest Assistant Professional at the Truro Golf Club. In 2015 Stuart was hired as the Clubhouse Operations Manager.
Stuart takes an interest in all aspects of the game, loves to play when he can, enjoys club repair/building, and especially teaching the game of golf.
Caralynn Cullen – Course Superintendant
Born in Calgary and raised just west of the city in the community of Springbank. Caralynn attended Olds College for Turfgrass Management in the early 90’s and currently holds the position of President of the Atlantic Golf Superintendent Association (AGSA).
Having been in the golf course industry for over 26 years, Caralynn has made various stops along the way. Caralynn began her career at the Glencoe Golf & Country Club and Beaconsfield Club de Golf in Pointe Claire, Quebec. She had the opportunity of holding the position of assistant superintendent at Sundre Golf Club, Lewis Estates and Colonial Golf and Country Club then received her first Superintendent position in 1997, at Olds Central Highlands. In 2001 she relocated to Halifax where she was able to work in the construction and grow-in at the Links of Montague in Dartmouth before joining the Truro Golf Club in 2006.
